Lochinvar Hotel 

Excellent fresh pub food and pizzas, also offers take away. 


 Ken Bridge Hotel

The restaurant is open for both residents and non-residents from 5.30 until 8.00 pm.‍ Reservations are essential for non-residents. Bar is open to the public all day. 


The Catstrand - This Popular licensed cafe in New Galloway,  serves light lunches, home baking and tea & coffee and soft & alcoholic beverages. The Gift shop stocks a great range of locally produced crafts, quality gifts and tourist maps and guides.


Molly's Snack & Go - nestled just outside Dalry on the A713 heading towards Castle Douglas, serving   hearty filled Rolls to sweet treats.

Loch Ken - Loch Ken enjoys a good reputation among anglers, particularly because of the pike, roach, perch and now bream caught in recent seasons. The CatStrand is a multi-use venue with a fully equipped and adaptable auditorium, a licensed cafe, gift shop and meeting room.

CatStrand offers a regular range of events including theatre, music and cinema plus fitness classes and activities for all ages. 


There are Village shops Dalry, New Galloway, Balmaclellan and Cairsphairn.


Petrol Station - Ayr Road, Dalry


There is also a wide range of shops and food outlets  in Castle Douglas, including three excellent butchers, green grocers, several bakeries, cafes and delis, supermarkets and a petrol station.
